Cusco's coffee is grown at exceptional altitudes, often above 1800 meters and some areas reach up to 2,750 meters.  This high-altitude cultivation contributes to the coffee's distinct flavor profile and quality as this high-altitude environment provides ideal conditions for coffee cultivation, resulting in slower bean development and more complex flavors. The region around Cusco offers a variety of microclimates, which contribute to the coffee's distinctive characteristics i.e. cool temperatures ranging from 50 and 70 Fahrenheit annually, and distinct wet and dry seasons. Also Cusco is volcanic soil rich in nutrients such as potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium.
